Fumigation is one of the most effective ways to fully eradicate Dry Wood Termites. Vikane rapidly penetrates through wood members of the structure to kill pests through suffocation. After fumigation, Vikane leaves no residues, a common worry with fumigants.
Alternative treatments, or more commonly referred to as "localized," or "spot" treatments, can also be utilized to eradicate small isolated infestations of termites, depending on accessibility.
We’re experts at alternative treatment solutions to dry wood termite fumigation. Whether you have a whole apartment complex, condominium or commercial building, we have a solution. After your inspection is completed, our licensed termite inspectors will advise you of all areas of termite infestations in your home or building. Your inspector will also determine the best treatment suited to the structure. Accessibility of termite infestations will determine our primary recommendation of local spot treatments or tent fumigation. At the request of the homeowner or property management company, a recommendation for secondary alternative treatments will be provided. License-To-Kill offers a dry wood termite control service agreement for either fumigation or secondary treatments that can be continued after the initial warranty period for the treatment has expired.
Formosan subterranean termites are nicknamed the "Super Termite" for their ability to rapidly consume wood. Formosan termites can severely damage your structure in as little as three months! Until recently, Formosan termites have not been a problem in San Diego county. For homes infested with Formosan termites, we recommend tent fumigation. Local treatments are available, your License-To-Kill termite service technician will advise you of whether local Formosan termite treatment is right for you.
Subterranean termites require a different approach for control. Fumigation will not eradicate Subterranean termites, because they live in soil. License to Kill uses a combination of soil termite treatments and barrier termite treatments to regain control. These termite treatments effectiveness often depends on the thoroughness of the inspection, which is why our motto is "Maximum Effort - Maximum Results."
